On June 26, at the Conference on deploying tourism stimulus plans for 2025, the Hanoi Department of Tourism announced a series of new tourism products that will be launched from now until the end of the year. Notably, there is a group of 20 night tourism products, typically the "Tran Vu bell" program at Quan Thanh Temple - a spiritual and cultural space that is sparklingly recreated in the evening, promising to become a highlight attracting international and domestic visitors.
Deputy Director of Hanoi Department of Tourism Tran Trung Hieu said that this year's stimulus program will promote traffic advantages to form a regional linkage corridor. Many river tourism routes such as the Red River and Duong River are being planned, connecting Hanoi with Hung Yen, Nam Dinh, Bac Ninh, Hai Duong.
Regarding railways, Hanoi will operate high-quality night trains such as the Sjourney, Hoa Phuong Do (Hanoi - Hai Phong food tours), and the "five door" train starting from August 19, 2025. In the aviation sector, the Department of Tourism has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Vietnam Airlines for the 2025-2030 period to coordinate promotion, opening more international routes and communication on flights.
Hanoi tourism space will also be expanded to suburban districts such as Ba Vi, My Duc, Soc Son, towards connecting with the capital region, helping to extend the length of stay and increase spending of tourists. The implementation of the Capital Law (amended) creates conditions for Hanoi to form unique cultural - tourism spaces such as creative centers, walking streets, night-time neighborhoods, etc.
Many large-scale projects expected to be completed in the 2025-2026 period are also expected to change the face of the capital's tourism such as the National Exhibition Center, Kim Quy Park, Soc Son horse racing school, projects to renovate Hoan Kiem Lake, Uncle Ho's Mausoleum and a new chain of high-end hotels.
According to Mr. Nguyen Huu Viet - Deputy Director of the Hanoi Tourism Promotion Information Center, in 2025, the city will promote through a series of festivals and experiential events to increase attraction for domestic and international tourists.
Notably, the 2025 Hanoi Tourism Festival with the theme "Hanoi Experience in 2025", held at Thang Long Imperial Citadel, introduces tourism products, craft villages, cuisine, and surveys tours on new routes. The event also included a seminar on developing Halal tourism - a potential market that Hanoi is focusing on.
The 2025 Hanoi Drink Festival will take place from August 29 to September 2 at Thong Nhat Park, right on the occasion of National Day, with a space to enjoy egg coffee, lotus tea, traditional sweet soup and performances by professional bartenders.
The 3rd Hanoi Autumn Festival, scheduled from October 3 to 5, at Tran Nhan Tong walking street, Thong Nhat park and typical tourist destinations, will honor the beauty of Hanoi's autumn through street art activities, cuisine, photo tours and heritage experiences.
In November, Hanoi will continue to organize the Ao Dai Tourism Festival in Son Tay ancient citadel and the Cuisine - Craft Village Tourism Festival at Trinh Cong Son walking street, with performances, product exhibition and tour introduction associated with craft villages, agriculture, ecology - a group of sustainable tourism products that are being prioritized for development.
In parallel with on-site activities, Hanoi will also participate in many major promotional events such as the Ho Chi Minh City ITE Fair, Da Lat Golden Tourism Week, Thanh Tuyen Festival... At the same time, promote smart tourism, promote the application of technology in management and enhance experiences, towards comprehensive digital transformation of the capital's tourism industry.
