Located on the historic Pha Din pass, Long village, Quai To commune, Dien Bien province is a highland village with 116 households with 552 people, 100% of whom are H'Mong ethnic people. The village is about 20 km from the commune center and only about 7 km from National Highway 6.
Ban Long has pristine natural landscapes, fresh and cool climate all year round, along with typical flower seasons such as: apricot, plum, pear, cat apple... suitable for developing ecotourism, resorts and experiences.
People here still preserve the traditional cultural features from house architecture, costumes, language, to customs and festivals.

According to Mr. Mua A Sinh - Head of the Front Committee of Long village, to develop tourism, the most difficult problem is to change the thinking and living habits of the people.
Mr. Sinh said that from 2023 when starting to implement community tourism villages, the first thing was to mobilize people to clean up and renovate their houses.
We are mobilizing people to move livestock barns away from houses by 150m or more to make the space clean and airy for tourists. Initially, there were many difficulties, but through village meetings, people have agreed" - Mr. Sinh said.

The shift from traditional agriculture to service is being implemented step by step. Accordingly, people do not abandon fields but still take agriculture as a spearhead, in parallel with tourism development to create additional income.
Currently, Long village has 4 pioneering households making homestay models, capable of connecting and serving groups of about 20 overnight guests. The village has also successfully built 2-day 1-night tourist tours.

At Cho Tinh homestay, there is a spacious traditional wooden house space, a separate toilet area, and visitors will feel the hospitality and simplicity of the H'Mong people.
Accommodation price is only 100,000 VND/night/guest. Regarding dining, depending on the tourist's preferences, we prepare meals, the cost ranges from one million VND/meal" - Mr. Tinh said.

Visitors to Long village not only rest but also experience a series of interesting activities such as visiting waterfalls, Ham Rong Wall, wading through fields to catch Long village snails, enjoying cuisine and cultural exchange.
From here, tourists can easily move along National Highway 6 to connect with tourist destinations such as: Pu Pha Din, Pha Din Pass and Pha Din Tourist Market...

Leaders of Quai To commune informed that in the past time, the village has welcomed more than 100 delegations with over 1,000 visitors to visit and experience.
We are building a sustainable Quai To tourism brand, creating long-term livelihoods and improving people's lives. Village community tourism in Long village will be a model, creating a practical basis for the commune to continue researching and replicating to other potential villages in the coming time" - the leader of Quai To commune added.
