Amidst the overlapping mountains and forests of the Northwest, Ban Cu Vai appears as a different slice of time - where clouds and people seem to blend together in a slow pace of life.

In Thai, "Cu Vai" means a strip of clouds spanning the sky - a name enough to evoke the special beauty of this village. Located on a high mountain peak, separated from the outside world, Cu Vai is immersed in thin mist all year round, sometimes hidden, sometimes visible, like a fairyland.
The journey to conquer Cu Vai is also a memorable experience. The road is about 7km long, winding along the mountainside, some sections have been concreted but still retain their slope and challenge.

On that road, visitors seem to pass through a multi-layered picture: golden terraced fields in the ripe rice season, the brilliant yellow color of wild sunflowers, interspersed with blue-purple wildflower hills stretching along the mountainside.
The higher you go, the more magical the scenery becomes. Clouds begin to fall closer, covering the walkway, making every step feel like you are lost in a "flower paradise" suspended in the sky.

On the top of the mountain, Ban Cu Vai appears peaceful with the simple houses of the H'Mong people gathering together. Looking down from above, the entire small village seems to be "drifting" in the sea of clouds, creating a scene rarely found anywhere else.
Life here still retains its traditional features. From house architecture, customs and habits to daily rhythm of life, all bear the imprint of indigenous culture. Cu Vai people live slowly, honestly and hospitably. With just one visit, tourists are easily captivated by their simple smiles and closeness, warmth.

The point that makes Cu Vai different is the "cloud hunting" experience - something that not every destination has. Early in the morning, when the sun just rises, the whole village is immersed in a sea of white clouds.
Standing on the top of the mountain, looking into the distance, visitors can admire the layers of clouds rolling up at the foot, and in the distance are mountain ranges connecting each other to the horizon.

Each season of the year, Cu Vai wears its own beauty. September - October is the ripe rice season, when the whole mountain area is dyed bright yellow. From November to March of the following year is the most beautiful "cloud hunting season", with dense layers of clouds floating like waves.
Especially, around December - January, peach blossoms bloom all over the village, dyeing the only road leading to the mountain peak pink, creating a scene that is both romantic and pristine.

Not only stopping at the scenery, Cu Vai is also attractive because of the local life experiences. Visitors can stroll in the village, listen to the sound of Mong khen echoing in the mountains and forests, sip hot tea in the early morning mist or simply sit by the porch, silently watching the clouds drift past before their eyes.
With its pristine beauty and airy space, Cu Vai is gradually becoming a "capital" for souls yearning to return to their natural origins.

Although 3G and 4G waves are intermittent, and electricity is only enough to use, the simplicity and sincerity of the residents here will make you forget all daily worries.
A trip to Cu Vai is not only a journey to conquer heights, but also a trip to "hide from the busy world" to find peace again, to wake up every morning by the fragrant kitchen smoke, admire the clouds drifting slowly at your feet, listening to the mountains and forests whispering stories of heaven and earth...
