Khanh Hoa - In the middle of Nha Trang beach, 3 bamboo bushes appear rising in the middle of the water, attracting curiosity and lively discussion from people and tourists.

In recent days, the sea area in front of Tran Phu bridge (Nha Trang ward, Khanh Hoa province) suddenly appeared 3 bamboo bushes rising in the middle of the water, attracting curiosity and lively discussion from people as well as the online community.

On social networks, many images record the scene of bamboo bushes standing alone in the middle of the sea, more than 1km from the shore, making many people surprised.

Under the posts, many accounts expressed surprise at the rare phenomenon.

According to some local people, this phenomenon is not too strange. Bamboo bushes may have been swept away by floodwaters from the mainland to the sea, and then trapped in this area.

Because the bamboo root is heavy, it is planted deep in the sand, while the tree trunk rises out of the water.

Mr. Duc Thao (resident of Nam Nha Trang ward) said that bamboo is a tree that grows on land and cannot live long in the seawater environment.

These bamboo bushes are unlikely to survive long-term in the middle of Nha Trang sea," said Mr. Duc Thao.

The actual record of Lao Dong Newspaper reporters shows that the bamboo stem and leaves have turned yellow and are no longer showing signs of growth.

Regarding the origin of the bamboo bushes, a leader of Nha Trang ward said that it is likely that they once grew along the Cai River and were swept out into the sea in the historic flood in mid-November 2025 in Khanh Hoa.

Because the bamboo root has a large volume, it is planted in sand dunes near the shore, and the trunk reaches up to the water surface.

Bamboo cannot grow in salty water environments. Over time, the bamboo stem will erode, break, sink to the seabed and may become a shelter for some marine species in Nha Trang Bay.

Also in the Tran Phu bridge area of Nha Trang ward, a large sand dune has appeared, clearly floating on the water surface when the tide recedes.

The sand dunes located next to Nha Trang beach are about 100m long and nearly 50m wide.

Looking from above, this sand strip has the shape of a giant dolphin facing the sea, creating a rare scene in the coastal city center of Nha Trang.
