The sand dunes located next to Nha Trang beach are more than 200m long and nearly 50m wide.
Looking from above, this sand strip has the shape of a giant dolphin facing the sea, creating a rare scene in the coastal city center of Nha Trang.

According to Lao Dong's records, in the early morning, when the tide is low, the entire sand dunes are clearly visible with a large area, enough for many people and tourists to walk, exercise and take photos to admire the panoramic view of Nha Trang Bay.
Mr. Duc Thao (born 1998, residing in Nam Nha Trang ward) said that this sand dune near the coast began to appear about 20 days ago.
Initially, due to the high tide, only a small part of the sand strip protruded to the water surface.
In recent days, when the tide recedes deeper, the sand dunes are clearly exposed with a large amount of sand.
In previous years, after the rainy and flood season, sand dunes also often appeared in this area, but the area was quite small and few people paid attention.
This year the sand dunes are larger, many people can go up to walk, exercise and admire the scenery," Mr. Thao shared.

Explaining this phenomenon, Mr. Dam Hai Van - Director of Nha Trang Bay Management Board - said that the sand dunes are located in the intersection area between the Cai River and the sea.
This is where alluvial grounds often form after the rainy and flood season.
According to Mr. Van, this year sand dunes are larger in scale possibly due to the impact of the recent historic flood.
The amount of soil and sand from upstream following the flood flow downstream of the Cai River, combined with continuous sea waves and winds, has created a large alluvial ground at the river mouth.
It's a bit of a bit of a bit of a bit of a bit of a bit.
