On January 10, the Nha Trang Bay Management Board (Khanh Hoa province) issued a recommendation requesting people and tourists to absolutely not swim in the sea when the weather is bad, big waves, and the sea is rough to ensure safety of life.
According to the Nha Trang Bay Management Board, on January 9, due to the impact of bad weather, large waves and strong currents appeared in the area of Nha Trang beaches, posing many unsafe risks for swimmers.
In just one day (January 9), the Rescue and Relief Team under the Nha Trang Bay Management Board had to urgently deploy 4 rescue operations, promptly bringing 7 people, including Russian tourists and Vietnamese people, out of a life-threatening situation.
Some people who were suffocated and exhausted were given artificial respiration and resuscitation, which was not life-threatening.
Faced with unfavorable weather developments, the Nha Trang Bay Management Board recommends to people and tourists: Do not swim in the sea when there are big waves and strong sea waves; strictly comply with the instructions of rescue forces and warning signs at the beach.
In particular, when a person is found drowning, it is necessary to quickly notify the nearest rescue force.
