Last weekend, Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Nga's family (Hanoi) chose a 2-day 1-night tour in Huu Lien, Lang Son.
This is a short trip, suitable for families who want to leave the city for a not too long time but still have enough resort experiences, eating, bathing in streams and taking photos.
According to Ms. Nga, the tour has a package cost of 2.7 million VND/person, including accommodation at homestays, transportation, photography and visiting some private locations of the tour.
When my family went, there was only my family and another family, so it was very comfortable, not crowded," Ms. Nga shared.

From Hanoi, tourists can drive to Huu Lien for more than 2 hours or book a tour bus. Ms. Nga's family chooses to take a tour bus for convenience, especially when traveling between tourist attractions.
The schedule started at noon on Saturday. At about 12:00 PM, the group departed from Hanoi, and arrived at the homestay at 2:00 PM. After checking in, the whole family took the opportunity to take photos in the accommodation area.
Clean homestay, enthusiastic staff, airy space, suitable for resting after a journey.
At about 3 pm, the group moved to Hung Vi valley. This destination impresses with rocky mountains, clear streams and open space.

The area also has white horses, creating more photo angles for visitors. While adults take pictures, young children enjoy bathing in the stream and playing in the water.
This place is very beautiful, with majestic rocky mountains, cool streams and even white horses. Unfortunately, the sun set quite early when I went, so the photos were not as beautiful as when there was sunlight," Ms. Nga recounted.
At about 5:30 pm, the group returned to the homestay to rest and have dinner with local dishes.
On Sunday morning, around 7:30 am, the group moved to the Phu The Tree area, about 12km from the homestay. From the main road, tourists walk about 1km further to enter the tourist spot; anyone who is afraid to walk can call a motorbike taxi.

According to Ms. Nga, the walking section is a bit strenuous but completely worthwhile. Inside is a clear, cool lake, quiet scenery. Adults have many photo angles, while young children continue to play and swim in the stream.
When you get there, you see that walking is very worthwhile. The lake is clear, cool, the scenery is very beautiful. Every corner is chilly," she said.
At about 11 am, the group returned to the homestay to have lunch and rest. At 1 pm, the whole group got on the bus to return to Hanoi, ending a trip just enough for a weekend.
What makes Ms. Nga satisfied is that the schedule is not too tight, the service is thoughtful, and there is someone to support taking photos throughout the journey.
However, the female tourist noted that families with children under 5 years old should consider it, because some places require walking, the stream water is quite cold, and young children are easily tired or fussy.
With a short distance, reasonable cost and still pristine scenery, Huu Lien is a worthwhile choice for those who want to have a short, less crowded trip and more experiences near nature.
