At the first Buon Ma Thuot City Bonsai Exhibition, Display and Competition - 2024 (taking place from August 29 to September 2), there is a masterpiece Quan long phuong vu, over 80 years old.
This work belongs to Mr. Pham Dinh Gioi (born in 1976, residing in Hamlet 7, Hoa Khanh Commune, Buon Ma Thuot City, Dak Lak). This is a type of Sanh tree that Mr. Gioi bought from an old man in Nam Dinh in 2003. He said that this old man brought 2 Sanh trees from his hometown to Dak Lak. After a while, one tree died, leaving only one.

When he learned that the old man intended to sell the tree, Mr. Gioi gathered money to buy it. He confided that at that time, the tree did not have the shape it has today. However, with the eyes of a bonsai player, Mr. Gioi recognized the value and potential of this tree.
At that time, he decided to sell his motorbike for 8 million VND to buy it. After many years of care and shaping, Mr. Gioi created a bonsai tree with the shape of a group of dragons and a phoenix. That means a group of dragons dancing with a phoenix.
The owner of this masterpiece has no intention of selling it because he wants to keep it as a souvenir. However, bonsai enthusiasts revealed that this work is currently valued at over 2 million USD.
