Recorded at the Village of Culture - Tourism of Vietnamese Ethnic Groups, the highland fair space "Cao Nguyen opens festival" is bustling with people and tourists. The program takes place until the end of September 2nd, creating more destinations for people in the Capital and tourists during the Independence Day holiday.
Right from the booth areas, many highland products are introduced to tourists such as traditional cakes, vermicelli, mountain and forest spices, essential oils, herbs, traditional medicine, black tea, climbing mustard greens and fresh and dried products.
The attraction of the fair is that visitors can directly observe the process of making some traditional products. Nung people from Cao Bang introduce how to make incense and paper; artisans from Duong Lam guide how to make peanut candy.
The experience space helps to introduce highland products closer to tourists through stories about raw materials, handicrafts and the life of the local community.
Cuisine is one of the highlights at the fair. Dishes such as sticky rice, grilled chicken, grilled meat, thang co, banh ban, banh cuon and many kinds of highland spices are sold, creating a characteristic atmosphere of a highland fair.
In the stream of visitors, many tourists stop at food stalls to enjoy hot dishes. The smell of grilled meat, the colors of cakes and fruits and the displayed products make the market space even more vibrant.
Besides buying and selling and experiencing cuisine, the cultural and artistic program taking place at the fair also contributes to creating a festive atmosphere. Folk songs, folk dances and music imbued with Northwest identity are introduced to tourists, including folk dances of the Thai and Xinh Mun ethnic groups.
Performances such as "Hoang hon ben suoi", "Moi ruou ngay xuan", "Mua ca suoi", "Sac Pieu ben gai may", "Huong xuan Tay Bac", along with songs "Ben Van tinh yeu", "Son La - Mat dat tinh yeu", "Van vuong cho tinh", "Ve Tay Bac cung em" create a unique musical space in the heart of Hanoi.
Tourists also enjoyed "Muong Village Melody", Khắp Thái "Ơn Đảng ơn Bác Hồ" and Lion Cat Dance performances, contributing to recreating the atmosphere of community cultural activities of the highland people.
The highland fair at the Village of Culture - Tourism of Vietnamese Ethnic Groups is only held 3 times a year. Therefore, each fair is an opportunity for people and tourists to experience the cultural space of the highlands right in Hanoi.
Taking place until September 2nd, "Cao Nguyen Oval Festival" combines activities introducing products, cuisine, handicrafts and folk arts, bringing more entertainment and cultural experiences for people and tourists during the National Day holiday.
