Dien Bien - In the last days of December, the pink color of cherry blossoms is dyeing the Tay Trang International Border Gate area.

About 35km from the center of Dien Bien province, Tay Trang International Border Gate (Sam Mun commune) is known as the place where goods trade between Laos and Vietnam is concentrated.

These days, this place is again wearing a poetic beauty because the cherry blossom season is showing off its colors.

Cherry blossoms in the border gate area have bloomed profusely, creating striking pink patches in the great Northwest forest.

Dien Bien weather this time is chilly, cloudy, creating ideal lighting conditions for "virtual living" photos.

Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper, Ms. Viet Kieu (Dien Bien Phu ward) said: "The flowers are blooming beautifully, the check-in corner at the border gate is quite beautiful. However, the journey from the provincial center to the border gate will encounter some difficulties.

Ms. Kieu added: "The road is currently quite dusty due to large transport vehicles moving continuously in the Tay Trang stone mine area. Young people who ride motorbikes need to have a steady handlebar and be fully equipped with dustproof vests and glass to ensure safety.

According to Ms. Y Nhi (Dien Bien Phu ward), to get the most beautiful photos here, tourists should go in the morning, then return in the late afternoon.

In addition to the Tay Trang International Border Gate area, visitors to Dien Bien on this occasion can also visit the Cherry Blossom Island on Pa Khoang Lake (Muong Phang commune). This is considered the "city capital" of cherry blossoms of the province, always attracting a large number of tourists, especially young people, every year at the end of December and the beginning of January.

In the period 2025-2030, Dien Bien continues to identify the development of synchronous, modern, and sustainable transport infrastructure as a key task to create breakthroughs in socio-economic and tourism development.

The province strives to start construction of the Son La - Dien Bien - Tay Trang International Border Gate expressway, and at the same time renovate and upgrade National Highways 279, 4H and complete the dynamic traffic axis.
