According to Lao Dong, right after the Muong Thanh Market and Trade Service Project (Muong Thanh Tourist Market, Dien Bien Phu Ward) was inaugurated on December 19, Muong Thanh walking street also came into operation.
The number of people and tourists flocking to this area increased dramatically, especially on weekend evenings. Cars, motorbikes of local people and tourists crowded the yard of Dien Bien Children's House.

Present at Muong Thanh walking street, Lo Thi Trang (Dien Bien Phu ward) excitedly said: "I am very happy that Dien Bien has a walking street of this scale. This is truly an attractive destination for young people and families to have fun and relax".
Talking to reporters, Mr. Nguyen Van Hai (Muong Thanh ward) hopes that the walking street will be maintained to operate regularly on weekends to become an attractive destination for people and tourists coming to Dien Bien.
A representative of NQT Quang Ninh Construction and Trading Joint Stock Company - the project investor - said that to create a highlight to attract tourists, the unit has organized a walking street combined with regular music and art programs on weekends.

According to the investor, on the night of December 31, the walking street area will host a Countdown program and fireworks to welcome 2026.
Organizing some activities within the framework of the Vietnam - Laos - China Throw Festival at Muong Thanh Tourist Market is also a factor that helps increase the number of visitors here.
Speaking with Lao Dong, Mr. Tran Hai Ha - Acting Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dien Bien province - said: "For Dien Bien province, this is the first time organizing the Throwing Festival in 3 countries with many rich activities at the provincial level.
Therefore, the scale and quantity of activities are larger and more diverse. That is one of the factors that helps attract many participants, while attracting the attention of many people and tourists".

Previously, in early November, Dien Bien province stopped all service business activities (electric cars, refreshments...) at 7/5 Square to ensure security, order and social safety for the people.
Muong Thanh walking street has been put into operation, solving the need for night entertainment for the people of the mountain town.
