Dien Bien - Muong Lay Ward will organize a xoe dance with the participation of 10,000 people, aiming to set a Vietnamese record.

On December 23, the leader of Muong Lay Ward People's Committee, Dien Bien Province, said that the 11th En revenue boat racing festival associated with cultural, sports and tourism activities in 2026 will take place for 3 days, from January 2-4, 2026 with the theme "Return to Da Giang River".

The highlight is the special cultural event with the xo xoe dance proposing to set a Vietnamese record "Solidarity Round of the Da Giang River".

The event is expected to have the largest number of participants in Vietnam, with 10,000 participants.

According to the leader of Muong Lay ward, the big rain will take place at 6:00 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. on January 2, 2026 in the area around Son La Hydropower Reservoir and the paragliding landfill.

In addition, the festival also has many attractive sports activities such as: Swallow-tailed boat racing, national paragliding club championship, jet surfing competition, Kayaking boat racing, mountain bike racing, etc.

Muong Lay ward was established on the basis of merging Song Da ward, Na Lay ward, Lay Nua commune and Sa Tong commune (old). After the arrangement, the ward has a natural area of over 222 km2; the population is over 18,200 people.
