From May to September, Phu Quy Island enters the most beautiful season of the year with calm seas, clear blue water and sunny weather. This is an ideal time to take a speedboat to the island, dive to see coral reefs, paddle SUP and explore the surrounding small islands.
As a destination loved by many travel enthusiasts, Phu Quy impresses with its pristine beauty but has more and more convenient services.
Viet Nam (Hanoi), who came to the island in 2018 and just returned this year, shared: "This is my first time to the island, it is still quite pristine, there are not many hotels and homestays, and the service is also simple. Returning this time, I am really surprised because Phu Quy is developing very quickly. Beautiful coffee shops, beautiful homestays, canoe services, SUP paddling, and diving are all very diverse".

For tourists from Hanoi, the journey to Phu Quy will take longer. You need to fly to Ho Chi Minh City, then take a bus to Phan Thiet, and then board a high-speed train to the island.
Ms. Quynh Hoa, a Hanoi tourist, said: "I took Hanh Cafe bus from Ho Chi Minh City to Phan Thiet, stayed overnight and then the next morning took an early train to Phu Quy island. Tourists should be present at the port 30 minutes before departure time. Train tickets are about 37.5 million VND/person, you should pre-order early because peak season tickets run out very quickly".

Stepping on Phu Quy Island, what makes many tourists excited is that almost every corner can become a check-in point. The island owns many famous scenic spots such as Trieu Duong Bay, Doc Phuot, Bai Nho, Ganh Hang, Sung Suong stream, Phu Quy flagpole, Cao Cat mountain, Linh Son pagoda, lonely tree, wind power field...
The female tourist said that in Phu Quy, almost every place is beautiful. In the morning, you can stop by Doc Phuot to drink coffee and watch the sunrise, then go to Ganh Hang to check-in, in the afternoon watch the sunset at Bai Lang and in the evening drive around the island to enjoy the sea breeze. She also assessed Cao Cat mountain as an ideal place to take a panoramic view of Phu Quy from above.

The most interesting way to explore Phu Quy is to rent a motorbike and drive around the island. Coastal roads with rocky mountains on one side and a deep blue ocean on the other bring a feeling of freedom and relaxation.
Sharing about travel experience, Ms. Quynh Hoa said that the most attractive thing about Phu Quy is not having to go to all check-in points. "Coming to Phu Quy, don't try to schedule tightly. Just let the journey be comfortable, stop wherever you like, rest when tired, sit and admire the beautiful sea when you see it. That slow feeling is what I remember most after the trip," she said.

An experience considered a "specialty" of Phu Quy is coral diving. Diving tours often take tourists to Hon Tranh, Bai Can or Bai Lang. Canoe tours operate from 7:30 am to late afternoon, with prices ranging from 250,000 - 500,000 VND/person.
Besides the beautiful scenery, cuisine is also a plus point of Phu Quy. Tourists can enjoy fresh seafood at floating raft restaurants with specialties such as king crab, moon crab or many types of fish and squid just caught.
If you want to buy seafood at reasonable prices, Long Hai market, Bai Phu or Phu Quy port in the early morning are the addresses chosen by many people. On the island, there are also many famous eateries such as Chu Ninh hot beef, Hoa Thuong hot beef, Chu Thao squid noodles, Co Bay banh xeo, Huong Loc sweet soup, Hoang Hon grill, Seafood Net...
A 3-day 2-night Phu Quy exploration trip departing from Ho Chi Minh City costs about 3-5 million VND/person. For tourists from Hanoi, the total cost will be higher due to adding air tickets.
