Transforming into Dat Mui farmer
Wearing flashlights, rubbing pants around mud, quickly holding each tricycle under the mangrove..., that is the attractive experience that the Hoang Hon - Dat Mui community tourism model is bringing to visitors when returning to Ca Mau.
With a journey of nearly 2,000 km from Hanoi to the far south of the country, Ms. Hai Yen could not help but be excited and a little surprised when participating in the tri-team fishing activity with local people for the first time.
This is the first time Ms. Yen has come to Ca Mau and also the first time experiencing the activity of catching crabs, catching fish in aden...
"It's really interesting and memorable. Living in Hanoi, I have never had the opportunity to participate in activities like this, so it feels very new. I think that not only domestic but also international tourists will enjoy these practical experiences" - Ms. Yen said.
What impressed Ms. Yen was not only the nature of mangrove forests or the tri-pass catching activity but also the people of Ca Mau - always friendly, warm and close. This is what made her even more eager to introduce the land of Ca Mau to friends, relatives and tourists.
Mr. Nguyen Trung Kien - the initiator of the model - said that these experiences come from the traditional profession of the Dat Mui people.
Launched in early 2021, the model focuses on activities associated with the traditional profession of local people such as directly scouring crabs, placing crab catching swans... At the same time, creating more jobs for people, raising the value of typical products such as crabs, fish, shrimp in the far South of the Fatherland.
The Hoang Hon - Dat Mui community tourism model not only contributes to preserving traditional labor identity but also improves the experience for tourists, extending their stay in Dat Mui Ca Mau.
Improve product quality to attract customers
Catching three companions in the mangrove forest, planting mangrove and fish sauce and immerse yourself in nature in the far South of the Fatherland... are attractive experiences when coming to Ca Mau province. This is also the highlight in the famtrip survey and introduction program of Ca Mau tourist destinations organized by the Provincial People's Committee from September 26 to 29.
During the trip, the delegation surveyed many potential tourist destinations such as Mui Ca Mau Tourist Area, Hoang Hon - Dat Mui Community Eco-tourism Area, Southern Artists and musician Cao Van Lau Memorial Area, Cong Tu Bac Lieu Hotel, Xiem Can Pagoda, Hoa Binh 1 Wind Power Company, ... creating a colorful picture of culture, nature and people in the land at the end of the South.
Sharing at the program, Mr. Nguyen Minh Luan - Vice Chairman of Ca Mau Provincial People's Committee emphasized that this famtrip trip is expected to start a new journey of connection between businesses in localities and Ca Mau province, thereby jointly promoting the province's tourism development.
Through practical survey activities, Ca Mau province and travel and tourism businesses have more opportunities to stick together and share. Ca Mau province also hopes to receive comments from the business community to improve policies and orientations for tourism development, contributing to promoting the province's socio-economy in the coming time.
