These days, on the central routes of Thai Nguyen mountain towns such as Phan Dinh Phung, Duc Xuan, Bac Kan... the Mid-Autumn Festival atmosphere becomes bustling with the appearance of giant lanterns.
According to Lao Dong, a series of large lantern models create a colorful sparkling space.
Giant lanterns 3 - 5m high, shaped like storks, carp, dragons, lions... combined with a multi-layered LED lighting system, help make the lighting effect more lively and brilliant every night.
The light frame is welded from sturdy iron, coated with color fabric and multi-layer foam paper, creating both safety and aesthetic quality.

The giant lanterns are not only decorative, but also contain artistic elements, creative ideas associated with legends and folk characters, creating closeness to many generations of people.
Mr. Nguyen Van Quan (Phan Dinh Phung ward) shared that this year's Mid-Autumn Festival has been prepared more carefully than before, his family hopes to soon see the giant lanterns shining brightly on the street.
Traders near the central street also shared their expectations that when the giant lanterns are lit, it will attract a large number of visitors, creating momentum for business activities during the Mid-Autumn Festival.
Not only children, many young people also consider this a new check-in spot, sharing a series of photos on social networks, contributing to creating a spreading effect, promoting the image of Thai Nguyen mountain town at night.
For many people, giant lanterns evoke childhood memories, when the star lantern and the catfish lantern used to be a simple joy, now recreated more grandly to make the atmosphere more bustling.
The light models also demonstrate educational value, because each work contains stories, antiques or folk symbols, helping the younger generation better understand traditional traditions, while being attached to local cultural identity.
That sparkling image will help visitors have a new and different experience, when Thai Nguyen mountain town in the Mid-Autumn Festival brings modern colors mixed with tradition.

Giant lanterns are therefore not simply decorations, but have become symbols of human connection, bringing childhood joy into harmony with the rhythm of mountain town life, preserved in the memories of many generations.
