The Xip Xi Tet ceremony in Phu Yen is still associated with children, so it is called "Tet of the Children". On this day, if children still go raising buffaloes, they have to wrap sticky rice, meat, and cakes with less to eat and have their parents buy them for new clothes.
Xip Xi Festival is opened with a procession ceremony from Ao Bua to Dinh Chu with a full offering tray, local products and the participation of a large number of people.

The festival also took place vibrantly with the recreation of a unique Thai cultural space such as a culinary competition, brocade weaving, sleeving, making wave rolls, along with folk games such as throwing sticky rice, playing with a hammock, dancing with gongs, singing, singing, passing, and whip fighting...

Attending the Xip Xi Lunar New Year for the first time, Mr. Dang Trung Hai, a tourist from Phu Tho, shared: I am really impressed by the united and warm atmosphere. The festival is both solemn and joyful, helping visitors understand more about the rich spiritual life of the Thai people in Son La.

Mr. Dinh Duc Thang - Chairman of Phu Yen Commune People's Committee said that Xiep Xi Tet is an occasion for children and grandchildren to express their gratitude to their ancestors.
Being recognized as a national intangible cultural heritage in August 2024 is a source of pride and a great responsibility for the locality to preserve and promote the value of this festival.

Xip Xi Tet is not only a festival of the Thai Trang people in Phu Yen but also a bridge connecting the community, nurturing the love of the homeland, contributing to enriching the national cultural treasure.
