Ho Chi Minh City's waterway tourism is showing strong momentum with many new yacht projects and high-end experience products. Along with that, the 3rd Ho Chi Minh City River Festival taking place at the end of the year is expected to create more highlights, attracting domestic and foreign tourists to the city.
Talking to Lao Dong, Mr. An Son Lam - Director of Dong Duong Sailing Ship Company Limited said that Ho Chi Minh City's waterway tourism is entering a period of recovery and strong development.
The city attracts many new investors with high-end yacht projects, contributing to expanding the scale of activities and " awakening" the potential of river tourism. It is expected that in 2026, the number of visitors will grow strongly.

According to Mr. Lam, when more investors participate, businesses are forced to compete healthily with service quality and product diversity. The city needs to expand more wharves and reduce the cost of leasing wharves to encourage businesses to invest.
"When the infrastructure is good and the price is reasonable, even affordable tourists can access and enjoy river tourism. This is sustainable development" - Mr. Lam emphasized.
This company is completing the registration documents for the new, differently designed cruise ship, aiming for a more high-class and unique experience on the Saigon River. The number of customers in 2025 of the business will remain stable, increasing compared to before, no longer depending on the peak or low season.

Sharing about the Ho Chi Minh City River Festival in 2025, Mr. Lam hopes that with more methodical and professional preparation, this year's event promises to both ensure safety of waterway traffic and create a vibrant and attractive atmosphere for tourists.
The 3rd Ho Chi Minh City River Festival in 2025 will take place from November 29 to December 31 at many locations in the city.
According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, the festival combines activities to stimulate waterway tourism, shopping promotions, discounts on show tickets and regional linkage programs. The series of activities imbued with the identity of the river promises to become an attractive cultural - tourism highlight at the end of the year, attracting a large number of people and tourists from the country and internationally.
