In the context of a strong recovery in the tourism market, Ho Chi Minh City has identified promotional promotion as a key solution to expand the market and attract high-quality customers.

Ms. Bui Thi Ngoc Hieu - Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism said that in the last 3 months of 2025, Ho Chi Minh City will focus on promotion and advertising in key markets.

In particular, Ho Chi Minh City organizes tourism promotion programs in the US, Singapore, UK, Indonesia and South Korea; participates in major international fairs such as IMEX Las Vegas, ITB Asia, WTM London, combined with promoting culture - art and directly connecting with management agencies, associations, and international tourism businesses. The city also promotes destinations through videos and publications on flights.

Previously, domestic promotional activities marked many outstanding events such as the 10th Vietnam - Japan Festival and the 21st Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Festival, bringing in revenue of more than 100 billion VND and hundreds of promotional products and services.

After the merger, Ho Chi Minh City successfully organized the Ho Chi Minh City International Tourism Fair (ITE HCMC) 2025 with the theme "Sustainable tourism, Live experience", affirming its position as a leading prestigious international event in the downstream Mekong region.

In the foreign market, Ho Chi Minh City has promoted the image of destinations at the ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF 2025) in Malaysia, IMEX Frankfurt Fair (Germany), reaching thousands of global partners in the MICE and tourism sectors. These activities contribute to improving the competitiveness of Vietnamese tourism in general and Ho Chi Minh City in particular on the Asian tourism map.

According to Mr. Nguyen Khoa Luan - Director of Viet Hop on - Hop off Vietnam Tourism Company, Ho Chi Minh City tourism in particular and Vietnam in general are facing a strong opportunity to make a breakthrough. The important thing is to both preserve the environment and improve professionalism in services for sustainable development.
