Hoa Binh Hydropower Lake belongs to Phu Tho province, about 75.5 km from the center of Hanoi to Hoa Binh Hydropower Lake.
On a Northwest tourist journey, when boating down on the blue water of the lake, visitors can easily feel the delicate harmony between nature and indigenous cultural life.
The world's leading travel magazine Condé Nast Traveller honored Hoa Binh in the top 71 most beautiful destinations in the world for that reason.

Hoa Binh Hydropower Reservoir is a water storage facility supplying water to Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant. This is the largest artificial water reservoir in Vietnam, located on the Da River.
The lake is 230km long from Hoa Binh to Son La. The main dam of the lake is located in Hoa Binh city, Phu Tho province. The lake's capacity is about 9.45 billion cubic meters.
The vast lake surface stretches out, embracing overlapping mountain ranges and villages hidden between gardens and fields. In the middle of the lake, small islands rise like stone lotus flowers, places covered with green forest trees, places exploited into resorts, creating a picturesque landscape.

The journey takes visitors to Thac Bo cave - a majestic cave with a diverse system of stalactites, shimmering like a palace in the heart of the mountain. Nearby is Thac Bo Temple, a famous spiritual destination, attracting a large number of people and tourists to worship.
Not only possessing heartbreaking natural scenery, this place is also a living space imbued with the identity of the Muong people, with many traditional cultural values still preserved intact such as ancient stilt houses, ethnic costumes, "hat dum" singing or the sound of Muong gongs...
In particular, villages such as Ngoi Hoa or Mo Hem (Da Bac) have become ideal stops, where visitors can directly experience indigenous life, enjoy ethnic cuisine and fully feel the unique cultural beauty of the Muong people.
