Thousands of people participate in the Phu Day 2026 Festival torch relay

Tối 2/4 (tức ngày 5/3 Âm lịch), hàng nghìn người dân và du khách thập phương đã có mặt ở di tích Phủ Dầy (huyện Vụ Bản, tỉnh Nam Định) để tham gia nghi lễ rước đuốc, một trong những nghi thức đặc sắc trong khuôn khổ lễ hội Phủ Dầy.

On the evening of April 21 (ie March 5th of the lunar calendar), at Phu Tien Huong (belonging to the Phu Day Relic Complex) in Vu Ban commune, Ninh Binh province, the torch-lighting ceremony took place. This is one of the unique rituals at the Phu Day Festival.

Đoàn rước đuốc xuất phát từ Phủ Chính Tiên Hương, qua Lăng Thánh Mẫu Liễu Hạnh, tiếp đó rẽ vào đường uốn lượn ven núi, qua chùa Tiên Hương, vòng qua Phủ Công Đồng, rồi về lại Phủ Chính Tiên Hương.

The torch procession departed from Tien Huong Palace, through the old Kim Thai Commune People's Committee, through Mau Mau Mausoleum, to Dong Cuong Temple, then took a new tourist route and went to Tien Huong Pagoda, then returned to Tien Huong Palace. Meritorious Artist Tran Thi Hue - head of Tien Huong Palace - said that the torches in the dragon lantern procession ritual symbolize the light of faith, thereby expressing the desire for a prosperous and happy life for the people.
