On March 31, Mr. Hoang Viet Trung - Director of the Hue Ancient Citadel Relic Preservation Center said that within the framework of Hue Festival 2026, the "Magic Imperial Palace" program will take place from 8 pm on the evenings of April 25 - 28, 2026 at Hue Citadel. This is the highlight of the Summer Festival "Shining Citadel", and at the same time opens for free, creating opportunities for people and tourists to experience the heritage at night.
The program is elaborately staged, recreating the shimmering Royal Palace space with a series of unique art activities. The opening is the Guard Change Ceremony at Ngo Mon combined with the cannon effect, taking visitors on a journey to explore the magical palace. The space continues with a 3D mapping performance at Trung Dao Bridge, lantern dance, leading visitors to Dai Trieu Dien Thai Hoa yard.

Here, the court ceremony is staged, recreating the solemn Nguyen Dynasty atmosphere. To the East is a Kinh binh performance with martial arts, archery, and impressive fire effects; to the West is the Royal Market, bringing a unique cultural and shopping experience.
In addition, visitors can also participate in many interactive activities such as court games, Hue ao dai performances combined with Hanbok, virtual reality experience "Finding the Lost Imperial Palace", explore archaeological spaces, and exhibit ornamental plants in areas within the Imperial Palace.
Notably, from 5:30 PM daily, the royal culinary area at Phu Noi Vu serves visitors in many forms: buffet (on April 26, 28, 30 and May 2) and dining menu, set menu on the remaining days, lasting from April 24 to May 2.
