Xã đảo Vĩnh Thực (tỉnh Quảng Ninh) được thành lập trên cơ sở sáp nhập hai xã Vĩnh Trung và Vĩnh Thực của TP Móng Cái trước đây. Sau sắp xếp theo mô hình chính quyền địa phương hai cấp, xã đảo Vĩnh Thực có diện tích tự nhiên gần 5.000ha, cách đất liền khoảng 10km.

Vinh Thuc island commune (Quang Ninh province) was established on the basis of merging Vinh Trung and Vinh Thuc communes of Mong Cai city before. After arranging according to the two-level local government model, Vinh Thuc island commune has a natural area of nearly 5,000ha.

Nơi đây được xem là “hòn ngọc thô” khi sở hữu những bãi biển trải dài với nước trong xanh cùng những rặng phi lao và rừng cây bạt ngàn cùng ngọn hải đăng được ví như “mắt thần” của vùng biển Đông Bắc. Trong đó, bãi biển Đầu Đông và Bến Hèn là hai địa điểm hàng năm thu hút rất nhiều khách du lịch ghé qua.

Cũng theo ông Dũng, hiện nay, trên địa bàn xã có các doanh nghiệp, Hợp tác xã vận tải phục vụ du khách ra tham quan đảo bằng xuồng bay.

Bên cạnh đó, hệ thống giao thông trên xã đảo đã được đầu tư, nâng cấp và hoàn thiện cơ bản đồng bộ, hiện đại. Khi đến tham quan đảo Vĩnh Thực, du khách có thể lựa chọn xe ô tô, xe điện, hoặc xe máy để di chuyển. Địa phương đang triển khai đẩy mạnh khoa học công nghệ, ứng dụng chuyển đổi số gắn với phát triển du lịch, dịch vụ trên địa bàn và đã triển khai, xây dựng trang Vĩnh Thực số. “Chúng tôi cập nhật, chuyển tải các thông tin cụ thể, chi tiết về các dịch vụ, lĩnh vực phát triển kinh tế, xã hội, thủ tục hành chính công phục vụ nhân dân và du khách đến xã đảo Vĩnh Thực cũng như tìm hiểu về các điểm du lịch, cảnh quan trên địa bàn xã“, ông Dũng nói.

Bên cạnh sự phát triển kinh tế, xã cũng, chính quyền xã Vĩnh Thực đặc biệt quan tâm phát triển lĩnh vực y tế, giáo dục. Trong đó, công tác chăm sóc sức khỏe ban đầu cho người dân cũng được đặc biệt quan tâm.

Đến nay, 100% các trường trên địa bàn đạt chỉ tiêu là trường chuẩn quốc gia. Mặc dù còn gặp một số khó khăn trong công tác giáo dục với đặc thù là xã đảo nhưng trong năm học 2025-2026, nhà trường cũng đạt được nhiều thành tích trong các kỳ thi. Tại kỳ thi học sinh giỏi, nhà trường đạt 2 giải Ba; tại hội thi CLB tiếng Anh cấp cụm do Sở Giáo dục tổ chức, trường đạt giải Ba toàn đoàn; tại cuộc thi Olympic tiếng Anh qua mạng cấp quốc gia, trường có 1 học sinh tham gia và đạt huy chương Bạc. Ngoài ra, nhà trường cũng tham gia đầy đủ các cuộc thi về văn hóa, văn nghệ , thể dục thể thao và đạt kết quả.
