In recent years, the trend of cycling has developed strongly, not only attracting professional athletes but also those who enjoy traveling and exploring. The authorities in Taiwan (China) have also actively built dedicated cycling routes and encouraged green transportation.
From April to the end of November 2024, the Cycling Festival in Taiwan (China) will take place with numerous events. Notably, the Music and Fireworks Cycling Festival at Moon Lake and 16 cycling routes stretching across the island will be held.
These routes are classified into six categories: coastal, riverbank, rural, mountainous, island, and urban. Each category offers unique experiences such as:




The 168 km cycling route: Passing through the coastal area and the Coastal Range of Taitung, this route offers breathtaking natural scenery and opportunities to explore local culture.
The journey through the East Coast Longitudinal Valley: This cycling route connects Hualien and Taitung, offering stunning scenery of the valley and a unique eco-tourism experience. Tourists can explore indigenous tribes and hot springs along the way.
The Taiwan KOM Road: This 6-day challenge takes participants to famous destinations such as Yangmingshan National Park, East Coast tea plantations, and the largest lake in Taiwan (China).
Cycling Day at Moon Lake: Moon Lake - Taiwan's (China) most popular tourist destination, recognized by CNN as one of the world's top 10 most beautiful cycling routes.
Additionally, visitors to Taiwan (China) can also enjoy music, art, and unique cultural activities through the Moon Lake Fireworks Festival. With a grand fireworks display combined with lively music, the festival attracts millions of tourists from around the world.
