Unique Mid-Autumn Festival in 3 regions: Going up the mountain to the leaf market, going down to the sea to watch the parade

From Ha Long, Da Nang to Tay Ninh, the 2026 Mid-Autumn Festival season wears a brilliant and unique festival color, promising to bring emotional explosions to tourists.

Bai Chay: Mid-Autumn Festival lights feast

Bai Chay (Quang Ninh) promises to become a vibrant rendezvous with a parade of lantern trucks carrying Jade Rabbit, Saint Giong, carp... combined with a series of feast breaking activities, art performances and bright fireworks displays by Ha Long Bay.

At 7:30 PM on September 25th (Mid-Autumn Festival night), the Ky Quan coastal road, Ha Long road to the VUI-Fest Ha Long area, Sun Elite City, Bai Chay ward will turn into a giant stage of light and color.

This is the second consecutive year of organizing a large-scale Mid-Autumn Festival lantern procession in Quang Ninh, bringing familiar symbols of the full moon night to the streets in a giant lantern carriage, combined with lion and dragon dances, art performances, feast breaking and bright fireworks displays by Ha Long Bay.

The highlight of the festival night is the parade of cars carrying a series of giant lantern models inspired by folk culture such as carp, phoenix, unicorn, lotus, turtle... along with the special appearance of two new characters, Ngoc Rabbit and Saint Giong.

Closing the experience series, the procession will gather in the Lighthouse area to join tourists in participating in the traditional feast breaking scene and art fireworks display lasting about 10 minutes to light up the sky by Ha Long Bay.

Ba Na Hills: Welcoming Tet looking at the moon on the top of thousands of clouds

This moon season, Sun World Ba Na Hills turns the top of Chúa Mountain into a fairytale space with a series of unique Tet Moonseeing activities, perfectly combining traditional cultural beauty and Western romantic inspiration.

Right from the moment you set foot at cable car station No. 8, visitors will immerse themselves in the bustling festival atmosphere decorated brilliantly with lanterns, star lanterns and brilliant flags and flowers. Especially, in 3 days from September 23 to 25 (August 13 - 15 of the lunar calendar), the Ba Na Hills citadel gate area will have a Lion procession event bustling with drums welcoming visitors, and 1,500 cute lanterns will be sent to children.

The journey of enjoying the moon in Ba Na is more complete with rich lunar culinary experiences. From September 19th to 25th, Bon Mua restaurant introduces traditional phá cỗ trays and delicate Mid-Autumn cake flavors.

As night falls, the Moon Garden space at the Moon Castle becomes magical with a giant moon shimmering in the sea of clouds, leaning against the ancient domes. This promises to be the most unique check-in location for the Mid-Autumn Festival 2026.

Tay Ninh: Ba Den Mountain Fruit and Leaf Market Festival

Tay Ninh welcomes Mid-Autumn Festival with experiences imbued with local cultural colors. At Sun World Ba Den Mountain, Cho La takes place from September 24-26, bringing visitors back to the Southern rural market space with unique folk culinary stalls.

Besides cuisine, Le Market also brings folk games such as bamboo dancing, stork oven, blindfolded pot smashing, along with the appearance of Ms. Hang, Uncle Cuoi and lion dances, dragon dances, folk songs, rice drums. Mask painting workshops, lion and dragon dance performances, folk dances also contribute to creating a bustling Mid-Autumn atmosphere on Ba Den Mountain.

In parallel with the Leaf Market, the Typical Agricultural Products and OCOP Products Festival of Tay Ninh province is organized on a large scale for the first time at Ba Den Mountain National Tourist Area, from September 22nd to 26th with 244 booths. Visitors can visit and shop from 8 am to 9 pm every day, discover key agricultural products, OCOP products, high-tech agricultural models and connection and shopping activities through e-commerce.

Meanwhile, at Tay Ninh Holy See, the Dieu Tri Cung Swiftlet Festival officially takes place on September 25-26, promising to attract many people and tourists to participate in rituals and unique flower tree, unicorn, dragon, and phoenix dances. These activities create a Mid-Autumn Festival with the unique imprint of Tay Ninh, where culture, beliefs and community life blend into the festive atmosphere.
