Mid-Autumn Festival is not only Tet for children because for every adult, this is not only Tet of reunion but also an opportunity to remember childhood memories.

Every Mid-Autumn Festival season comes, not only young children are excited but also an opportunity for adults to return to their own childhood. This is also Tet reunion to help generations reunite and through that, each member understands more about the value of bonding and family affection.

Mr. Nguyen Thai Son (Hanoi) said that although he is 46 years old, every time the Mid-Autumn Festival approaches, he has a very indescribable excited mood. Seeing streets and eateries decorated with star lanterns, selling Mid-Autumn cakes, it seems that the whole childhood suddenly rushes back.

Mr. Thai Son still always cherishes family values on special occasions such as the Mid-Autumn Festival. Therefore, he and his wife - Ms. Trang always teach and guide their children to learn about their roots as well as create many memorable childhood memories when the family is together.

Approaching the Mid-Autumn Festival, the weekend holiday, Mr. Thai Son and his wife both take advantage of taking their children to the center to admire the streets, choosing decorations to decorate the living space to have more atmosphere.

Children now are much happier than our generation in the past. Everything is too complete, sometimes children will not understand or appreciate the value of cultural roots" - Mr. Thai Son said.

To give his son who has just entered 1st grade more beautiful memories every Mid-Autumn Festival, Mr. Thai Son's family creates conditions and encourages his son to participate in activities such as making traditional lanterns, carrying lanterns to break feasts, watching the moon, telling stories about Sister Hang, Uncle Cuoi, the moon palace...

I remember when I was young, although everything was still lacking, we, the children in the collective area, still had grandparents, parents, aunts and uncles prepare a very large feast to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival very happily and happily together.

When I have a small family, I also try to make my children have more beautiful memories every Mid-Autumn Festival. This is a childhood worth remembering..." - Mr. Thai Son said.

Mr. Thai Son's eldest daughter - granddaughter Nguyen Thai An said that every year she celebrates the Mid-Autumn Festival with grandparents, parents and siblings. Now being the eldest sister of the 2 siblings, Thai An knows how to help adults in the family prepare the feast, teach the siblings how to make star lanterns and eagerly wait for the day of "watching the moon, breaking the feast".

Ms. Dang Hong Loan (83 years old) said that for a family of 3 generations living together, the joy of old age for them is during the holidays and Tet to feel more clearly the reunion together. The family's many-year tradition is to always try to celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival with all members, eating a meal together and taking a souvenir photo.

Our old age happiness is simply when we see our children and grandchildren arrange busy study work, leave the TV screen or phone so that the whole family can have a meal together, enjoy tea and cakes, and grandparents and parents tell their children and grandchildren stories about the old Mid-Autumn Festival, I think that is a way to connect and narrow the gap between the elderly and young people..." - Ms. Hong Loan said.
