On September 8, Tuyen Quang Provincial People's Committee held a press conference to introduce the 2026 Thanh Tuyen Festival. The festival takes place from September 19-25 with a series of cultural, artistic, tourism, sports, commercial and community experience activities.
Speaking at the press conference, Mr. Do Hung Duc - Vice Chairman of Tuyen Quang Provincial People's Committee emphasized the role of the people in creating the unique identity of the festival.
“The special thing that makes the vitality of the Thanh Tuyen Festival is that the People are both the subjects, the creators, and directly enjoy the values of the festival. The giant, diverse, and unique Mid-Autumn lantern models created by the residential community have become a distinctive image, creating a brilliant, different, and unique Mid-Autumn space,” Mr. Duc said.
This year, 129 Mid-Autumn lantern models of communes and wards in the province have been completed and awarded the Thanh Tuyen Festival logo. The Organizing Committee will judge and select 40 typical models from 5 central wards including Minh Xuan, Nong Tien, An Tuong, Binh Thuan and My Lam to participate in the parade in the Festival Night.
Thanh Tuyen Night Festival 2026 takes place at 8:00 PM on September 20th at Nguyen Tat Thanh Square, Minh Xuan ward, with the theme "Shining Mid-Autumn Festival Night". The program includes lion, unicorn, dragon dances; giving gifts to 100 children and students in difficult circumstances; an art program with the participation of some central and provincial artists and a parade of 40 typical Mid-Autumn lantern models.
According to Mr. Do Hung Duc, this year's festival is organized in the direction of "innovation, creativity, safety, thrift", linking cultural activities with tourism promotion, trade promotion and introduction of typical products.
We identify the Thanh Tuyen Festival not simply as a cultural - entertainment event for children. This is also a space to promote images, promote tourism, connect investment, trade and introduce local products," Mr. Duc said.
Within the framework of the festival, on September 19, at 26/3 Square, Ha Giang 1 ward, the program "Full Moon Night Festival, igniting children's dreams of Tuyen Quang" takes place. From September 19-25, on Chien Thang Song Lo street, Minh Xuan ward, the Festival of Agricultural Products, OCOP, Handicraft Villages Connecting Tourism - Tuyen Quang 2026 is organized.
The festival also includes the Beer Festival, 30 standard food booths, the 2026 Tuyen Quang Marathon with the theme "Tuyen Quang - Where Beauty Converges" and the 4th extended Tuyen Quang Off-road Motorcycle and Motorcycle Show in 2026.
Tuyen Quang province said that it has directed departments, agencies, branches, localities and related units to prepare conditions to serve the festival, focusing on security and order, traffic safety, fire prevention and fighting, environmental sanitation, food safety, health and accommodation facilities.
Accommodation establishments and tourism services are required to improve service quality, list and implement service prices correctly, and not increase prices unreasonably during the festival.
Through the series of activities, Tuyen Quang aims to build the Thanh Tuyen Festival into a unique cultural and tourism product, with a national brand and spreading power, thereby promoting the image of Tuyen Quang land and people, products and tourist destinations to domestic and international tourists.
