The film Lat mat 8 by director Ly Hai earned more than 100 billion VND after a few days of release. Many audiences are not only moved by the story of father-son love, but are also fascinated by the wild, majestic scenery where the characters live.
One of the settings that creates such a strong visual mark is Bau Trang Tourist Area in Bac Binh District, Binh Thuan Province. The White plant is also known as the Vietnamese version of the "little Sahara desert".
According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Binh Thuan province, Bau Trang is a rare scenic complex when combined with a vast white sand hill and two large freshwater lakes (Bau Ong and Bau Ba). This scenic spot is located about 48 km from the center of Phan Thiet city.
Looking down from above, Bau Trang is like a painting with curving sand bands surrounding the clear blue lake, creating a contrasting scene between arid and cool, between the burning sun and the calm water. During the lotus blooming season, the lake surface is covered in pink.
Thanks to this unique beauty, director Ly Hai chose Bau Trang as one of the main filming locations in Lat Trang 8.
The scene of the main character standing in the middle of the immense white sand or the flycams recording the windy lakes and hills left a strong impression on the viewer's minds.
After the film was released, the number of visitors to Bau Trang increased. According to preliminary statistics of the locality, many groups of tourists have booked check-in tours at locations where the groups have filmed and experienced sand sliding, mountain bike riding, boat rowing on lotus ponds...
Not only an attractive destination in terms of landscape, Bau Trang also contains special historical and cultural depth. During the resistance war, this land was the revolutionary base of Le Hong Phong, where the Binh Thuan army and people fought fiercely to protect valuable water resources in the dry sand hills.
With a total area of over 370 hectares and many natural, historical and cultural values, Bau Trang has been ranked as a national scenic spot by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism since 2019. This is also a tourist destination that has been in the Top 100 impressive destinations of Vietnam many times, a favorite destination in the ASEAN region.
