Flying in the "mirror of the sky" during the flood season
Opening the series of activities is the paragliding program "Flying on the Watershed Season" 2026, taking place from April 29 to May 5 in Lim Thai village, Tu Le commune, Lao Cai province.
This is considered the most prominent highlight of this year's tourist season, especially attractive to tourists who love to explore and experience thrills.
From a height of hundreds of meters, terraced fields in the flood season appear like a giant, shiny, and softly curved "heaven's mirror" in the mountains and forests. The early summer sunlight reflected on the water surface creates a natural picture that is both majestic and poetic.

Not only admiring the flights of professional pilots, visitors can also directly experience paragliding, immersing themselves in the air and capturing the entire beauty of the Northwest into their sights.
In addition, the journey in Tu Le also opens up a unique cultural space with terraced field check-in activities, exploring the life of the Thai and H'Mong people, enjoying local specialties and immersing yourself in the festival atmosphere of the highlands.
This is also an opportunity to promote the image of a pristine Tu Le with rich identity closer to domestic and foreign tourists.
Echoes of Thac Ba Lake" - vibrant on the water surface
In parallel with the aerial experience, the Thac Ba Lake area will become the focus with the "Echoes of Thac Ba Lake" 2026 Festival, lasting from the end of April to the beginning of May.
The opening ceremony is expected to take place on the morning of April 30 at the Ruby eco-tourism site (Yen Binh commune), opening with impressive water motorcycle performances, creating a vibrant atmosphere from the first minutes.

The next highlight is the expanded bamboo boat race, gathering many teams, bringing fierce competitions on the vast lake surface.
Not only sports, the OCOP product display space, local specialties are also organized from April 29 to May 3, contributing to promoting regional products, connecting consumption and attracting investment.
Notably, tours to explore scenic spots around the lake such as visiting Thac Ba hydropower plant, Thuy Tien cave, Thac Ba temple or experiencing craft villages, community tourism will be maintained throughout the holiday season and last throughout 2026.
These journeys bring diverse experiences, combining nature, culture and indigenous life.
Diversifying experiences, increasing the appeal of the Northwest
The harmonious combination of adventure experiences in the air at Tu Le and cultural and sports activities underwater at Thac Ba Lake is showing a clear direction in renewing tourism products of the Northwest region.

Not only stopping at the landscape, localities are focusing on increasing experience, improving service quality and exploiting cultural depth. This is considered the "key" to retain tourists, especially during peak seasons such as the April 30 - May 1 holiday.
With emotional and unique tourism products, the Northwest in general and Lao Cai in particular are gradually affirming their position on the tourism map, becoming a must-visit destination every festival season.
