About 5km from the center of Coc Pai town (Xin Man district), Suoi Thau flower grassland is more than 90ha wide, with an altitude of over 1,000m above sea level. This is a "famous" place on the Ha Giang tourist map. Each season, Suoi Thau flower grassland has a different "color" that makes anyone who has ever set foot there remember it.
Ms. Bui Hoa (32 years old, Hanoi) had the opportunity to visit Suoi Thau grassland during a 3-day, 3-night tour of Ha Giang at the end of August.
“It is very interesting to see different roads from rolling hills to green fields,” Ms. Hoa shared.
In autumn, Suoi Thau grassland puts on a romantic, gentle beauty under the clouds of the Northwest. Buckwheat flower patches begin to bloom, brilliant in white and pink. After the weather turns cold, the flower color gradually changes to purple and dark pink.
Amidst the lush green grass, stretching far and wide, buckwheat flowers stretch themselves up to welcome the dew, showing off their soft pink color. Each carpet of flowers floats like clouds “lost” in the wild, majestic steppe, wandering among the yellow color of ripening rice fields.
Immersed in the gentle, simple beauty of buckwheat flowers, Ms. Bui Hoa said the scene was very impressive and pristine. On the steppe, white clouds floated continuously, sometimes the sky was blue, sometimes covered with mist, which made her very excited.
The Suoi Thau grassland is vast and majestic, surrounded by mountains, with lush green grass, trees and white clouds creating a magical, fresh picture in the highlands of the Northwest. Standing on the Suoi Thau grassland, visitors can see the river winding through the simple villages. They can see the territory of the communes of Pa Vay Su, Chi Ca, Coc Re...
Ms. Bui Hoa said that the route from the center of Ha Giang city to Suoi Thau grassland is quite far. Besides, the grassland still retains its wild beauty, there are not many services. Therefore, visitors need to prepare personal belongings as well as check the weather in detail before going to be able to enjoy comfortably at the flower grassland.
According to Mr. Le Cong - a tour guide in Ha Giang, currently, Suoi Thau flower grassland still has a few flower gardens in full bloom. The road to the grassland has basically been restored after the storm and flood. However, tourists still need to carefully check their schedules and update information from local people and authorities to ensure safety.
