Exploring Dien Bien in recent years, each season visitors can easily encounter roads blooming with brilliant flowers. This is not only a highlight in the landscape, but also shows the sense of community, love for the homeland and creativity of the people here.
From small initiatives of households, the idea of planting flowers along the roadside gradually spread and was widely responded by the people. In districts such as Muong Ang, Tuan Giao, Tua Chua and Dien Bien district... the image of roads with brilliant colors of flowers has become quite familiar, from village roads to fields.

Ms. Lo Thi Thu Trang - Ang Cang commune, Muong Ang district - said: "The flower road not only beautifies the village but is also an ideal check-in location for locals and tourists from near and far. This is also a symbol of the spirit of solidarity and responsibility of the people to beautify their homeland".
Speaking to Lao Dong Newspaper reporter, Mr. Nguyen Tien Dat - Secretary of Muong Ang District Party Committee said that in recent years, the flower planting movement has become an annual activity that has been enthusiastically responded by the people. Most communes have colorful flower roads.

“Planting flowers not only contributes to making the living space green, clean and beautiful, but it is also part of the new rural construction and attracts tourists to visit,” said Mr. Dat.
Especially in the first days of September, the bustling atmosphere covering the entire road to Ang Cang commune is the red flag with yellow star fluttering in the wind mixed with the colors of flowers. Each flower, each flag carries the pride and love of the homeland of the people.

If in Muong Ang, people mainly grow butterfly chrysanthemums, in Loi village, Quai To commune, Tuan Giao district, people choose five-color flowers for a road about 300m long.
Here, each household has a part of the responsibility for the flower path in front of their house, as each household is assigned by the community to plant and take care of the flower beds in front of their house.

In the mountainous district of Tua Chua, the flower road about 500m long leading to Tien Phong village, Muong Bang commune is in its most brilliant blooming season.
Mr. Vu A Chong - Chairman of Muong Bang Commune People's Committee - said: "The idea of growing flowers comes from the Commune Women's Union. Although busy with farming work, women still take time to take care of the flowers, creating a green, clean and beautiful space for the village."

According to Mr. Chong, the main flower chosen to grow is the butterfly chrysanthemum because it is suitable for the local climate and soil conditions. The flowers have bright colors, standing out against the green background of the leaves, creating an extremely impressive scene.
With love for their homeland and awareness of beautifying their living space, each collective, community and people of Dien Bien have created brilliantly blooming flower roads that have gradually become a unique feature, leaving an impression on many tourists.
