According to Resolution 60 of the 11th Conference of the 13th Central Executive Committee, Ninh Thuan and Khanh Hoa are expected to merge and take the name of Khanh Hoa province.
Ninh Thuan has 105 km of coastline and Khanh Hoa has 385 km of coastline. After the merger, the nearly 500 km long coastal route of Khanh Hoa province is expected to create an axis for socio-economic development, including tourism.
