The restaurant business model inside natural caves is becoming a culinary trend attracting tourists in many countries including China.

Located in Yangshuo town (Guangxi, China), Cave restaurant is one of the destinations exploiting natural geological space to serve tourism.

Duong Soc is famous for its karst terrain (calcatic rock) and river system, bringing diners inside the cave is a fairly common tourism method based on natural resources here.

Architecturally, the restaurant retains the ceiling and rugged limestone walls of the natural cave.

To serve business operations, the operating unit installed a warm yellow lighting system to highlight the original stalactite blocks, and at the same time arranged modern interiors including rotating round tables, leather-covered wooden chairs and green clusters to create harmony between natural and artificial elements. This space brings a feeling of both mystery and warmth to diners when eating.

Besides the spatial factor, the restaurant's menu focuses on dishes imbued with the cultural identity of the Duong Soc river region.

During the journey to explore this place, travel blogger Dang Thuy Duong (Na) experienced local dishes and shared information directly on her personal page.

The dishes selected for testing include: crispy fried Li River fish, bamboo tube chicken, clam soup and white rice. Assessing the flavor of this meal, the female blogger said that the dishes here are almost as delicious as a tray of rice cooked by her mother in her hometown.

Experiencing cuisine in cave space brings both novelty and warmth, romance, closeness to nature, and luxury and class.

The restaurant model inside caves is currently a strong culinary business trend in many countries around the world. The combination of culinary services and a million-year-old geological space helps stimulate the multi-sensory perception of diners, while creating a unique highlight for the local tourism industry.

In Vietnam, this trend has also appeared and recorded successful models. Typical examples include Dragon Pearl Cave restaurant in Ha Long (Quang Ninh).

This is a culinary space located in a cave, where visitors can both enjoy premium seafood and directly feel the beauty of world natural wonders without having to travel abroad.

This model opens up a new direction for sustainable tourism development associated with the preservation and promotion of natural heritage values.
