Rain and wind trekking trip
Lung Cung is a mountain peak about 2,913m high and located in the Hoang Lien Son range, in Lao Cai province. Lung Cung is a rare mountain with a large plain on the top, where you can see the majestic sky and earth. On the way to explore Lung Cung, visitors can experience indigenous culture, cuisine and highland life in the villages of the H'Mong, Thai...

Having been involved in trekking and porting for 5 years, Nguyen Thu Huong (Hanoi) has conquered dozens of mountains in Vietnam, including Lung Cung. However, the trip in early November this year left her with many unforgettable impressions because the weather was so harsh.
We organized that trip in early November. Despite no storm, drizzle and dense fog have made the road unprecedentedly slippery and muddy. The group of 13 people, mostly new to mountain climbing, only a few are physical education coaches but also do not have the skills to walk the forest in slippery and muddy conditions, Huong said.

The whole group was almost stuck from start to finish and fell continuously. People have to wear raincoats, stand against sticks and take small steps, so it takes a lot of time and energy.
Of course, there is never a ready script. Rain, sunshine, fog, wind... are all part of the journey. I often joke that when it rains, I rarely visit the scenery, but have more time to talk and understand each other better, Huong shared.
Fortunately, the trip was still fully completed. No members were injured or had any incidents during the trekking. However, this is a profound lesson for Huong and other portents in general when they encountered unexpected weather incidents during their journey.

Experience travel trend
The trekking season usually starts in September and lasts until the end of April of the following year. This is the time of beautiful weather, the forest leaves change color, the rate of successful cloud hunting is high, so the number of trekking people increases sharply. In particular, November is the most beautiful time of the year because the weather is not too cold, there are few storms, the seasonal forest with the color of the leaves changing, the cold air is just enough to feel the majesty and peace of the mountains and forests.
However, this year, many trekker and mountain climbing tour organizers are confused because the weather in the North is constantly changing. Although in October and November, storms and floods appeared, causing a series of mountain climbing tours to be postponed and canceled.

Each mountain has its own beauty and tourists have different interests, passions, and perspectives on beauty: Ta Chi Nhu is brilliant in the purple chi flower season in September, Lung Cung and Ta Lien Son stand out with the red maple forest in November.
In recent years, the trend of being close to nature, exploring and conquering has become increasingly popular with young people. If in 2020, most trekking riders were the 8x and 9x generations, now the 10x generation, even high school students, are eager to participate.
Thanks to the development of social networking platforms, the image of trekking is spreading more and more widely. Instead of traveling and checking in at luxury hotels, today's young people dare to step out of their comfort zone, touch true nature, chat and live with local people to have a more diverse view of the culture and landscapes of the Northwest people.
