The impact of the circulation of storm No. 10 caused many northwestern areas to have prolonged heavy rain and floods. Many roads were severely eroded, seriously destroying the traffic infrastructure system of many provinces and cities.
Tourism activities have been suspended. In particular, many trekking tours in the Northwest have temporarily postponed due to the impact of the circulation of storm Bualoi.
Mr. Vu Huy Tuan, representative of Zgo Travel, said that this weekend, October 4-5, his company has canceled 5 tours to Ta Chi Nhu, 2 tours to Lung Cung and 2 tours to Ta Xua. This is the second consecutive week that the company has canceled trekking tours in the Northwest.
He said: "The canceled tours are all from Lao Cai and Yen Bai (old). According to the information we have updated, the road from Nghia Lo to Yen Bai ward has been eroded, with rocks and soil pouring down, making traffic difficult."
In addition, the combination of steep terrain of mountains, streams and heavy rain is the main cause of flooding, blocking climbing routes.
"Because the mountain's specific altitude is over 2,000m, the wind is very strong, and the participants will easily be knocked down by the wind on the mountain. Therefore, we proactively temporarily stopped to ensure that the members participated in the tour," said Mr. Tuan.

A representative of a mountain climbing tour company with an office in Hanoi also announced the cancellation of the route for 40 customers who registered for the Ta Chi Nhu trekking tour on October 4-5.
Although it canceled 4 tours last week, due to the heavy impact of the circulation of storm No. 10, this business still decided to stop tours in the following weeks to ensure the safety of tourists.
Mr. Le Minh Bach, a trekking tour operator, said: "We always prioritize the safety of members participating in mountain climbing. In addition, we have also received support and tourists from the staff on the village or changed our schedule to another day or reserved a deposit, so the damage is not too much".

Mr. Nguyen Tien Sy, operator of the Northern mountainous trekking tour of the travel agency in Hanoi, revealed that he has announced the cancellation of the tour to nearly 100 tourists this weekend who are trekking in Ta Chi Nhu. Currently, Ta Chi Nhu tours are being sold for 2.7 million VND/person.
"About 40% of customers want to return their deposit after learning that the tour was canceled. The remaining customers still choose to reserve a deposit for their upcoming trip. We accept to suffer more losses in cases of force majeure natural disasters, estimated at tens of millions of VND," Mr. Sy revealed.
Because this is the flowering chi pau season every year, most customers prioritize registering for trekking tours on the top of Ta Chi Nhu. Last year's storm season, Mr. Sy was forced to cancel 7-8 tours for 3 consecutive weeks for about 120 tourists.
