On January 30 (the second day of the Lunar New Year), many tourist areas and spots in Dak Lak attracted a large number of domestic and foreign tourists. This year, many tourists visited places in districts bordering Buon Ma Thuot City, experiencing the community cultural space, imbued with the Central Highlands mountains and forests. Some young people wanted to see domesticated elephants with their own eyes.
Visiting the Troh Bu eco-tourism area (Buon Don district) for the second time, Ms. Phan Minh Thu, a tourist from Hanoi, shared: “I was very impressed when I came back here. The tourist area has many new constructions imbued with indigenous culture, especially the coffee shop overlooking the stream with a poetic scene.”
In Lak district, over the past few days, there have also been quite a number of tourists coming to visit and relax.
Anticipating that the number of tourists will increase this year, Mr. Y Vinh E Ung (residing in Lak district) has built a number of structures bearing the unique architectural features of the Ede and M'nong people. Many tourists are very interested in stopping to take souvenir photos at Mr. Y Vinh's house.
Mr. Ha Quang Thanh (tourist from Quang Ngai) said that the atmosphere in Lak district is completely different from that in Buon Ma Thuot city.
“The domestic elephants in Lak district are very close and friendly. This is the first time I have seen these animals, so I took the opportunity to take pictures with them. This is a very high-quality Tet holiday for me,” he said.
Ms. Nguyen Thuy Phuong Hieu - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dak Lak province - said that in order to meet the needs of tourists, the unit has directed units to create new tourism products and publicly list prices.
“Local authorities also assigned personnel to be on duty to ensure security and safety for tourists during the Tet holidays,” Ms. Hieu added.
