Dak Lak welcomes 1.5 millionth tourist on the first day of the new year 2025

Dak Lak - The first group of tourists to Buon Ma Thuot on the first day of the new year 2025 were warmly and solemnly welcomed by local authorities.

At 9:20 a.m. on January 1, 2025, a Vietnam Airlines flight (Hanoi - Buon Ma Thuot route) landed at Buon Ma Thuot Airport. The flight carried the first group of tourists to visit Dak Lak on the first day of the new year.

On the side of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee, a ceremony was held to welcome the 1.5 millionth tourist and the first group of visitors to the locality on the occasion of New Year 2025.

At the airport, the welcoming ceremony for the 1.5 millionth tourist and the first tourist group to Dak Lak took place solemnly. The authorities organized a special gong and art performance program.

Representatives of the Dak Lak province tourism industry also presented flowers and gifts to welcome the first tourists to the province on the first day of the new year.

Ms. Le Thi Thanh Quy (Phu Tho) shared: "Coming to Buon Ma Thuot on the first day of the year, I was impressed by the wonderful atmosphere, cool climate, and friendly people. In particular, the welcoming ceremony for visitors was well organized, leaving a deep impression."

Ms. Nguyen Thuy Phuong Hieu, Deputy Director of Dak Lak Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said the event aims to enhance the image and brand of local tourism, attracting public attention, especially domestic and foreign tourists.

"This is an opportunity for Dak Lak to introduce its unique destinations and tourism development potential, contributing to building a strong tourism brand in the coming time," Ms. Hieu emphasized.
