Vietnam is still a destination that Mr. Ron, a tourist from Australia, wants to return to. Not only for tourism, this trip is also a journey to find beautiful memories from the cross-Vietnam trip he made two decades ago.
Mr. Ron shared that in the past, he had the opportunity to set foot in many localities across Vietnam. One of the destinations that left many impressions is Sa Pa with majestic mountain and forest scenery. However, the previous visit coincided with the rainy season, so the experience was not really complete.
I have been to Sa Pa and really like the scenery here, but it is the time when there is a lot of rain, so I cannot fully explore the beauty of this land," he said.
What is special about this return trip is that he decided to recreate the cross-Vietnam journey he made 20 years ago, but in the opposite direction. If he used to travel from South to North, this time, the starting point is Hanoi before continuing the journey to Ho Chi Minh City.
According to the plan, he will spend about three days visiting and experiencing the rhythm of life and destinations in Hanoi, then stay in Ho Chi Minh City for about 10 days.
For Mr. Ron, Vietnam's attractiveness lies not only in its natural landscape but also in the diversity of culture and lifestyles between regions.
I really like the differences between localities in Vietnam. The climate, scenery, and lifestyle of the people all have their own unique features and are very different from Australia. That is what makes every journey in Vietnam always bring new experiences," he shared.
Cuisine is also one of the reasons why this tourist has returned to Vietnam many times.
The dishes in Vietnam are very delicious. I really love the cuisine here and always want to try more new dishes whenever I have the opportunity," he said.
When asked about the difference between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, Mr. Ron said that it is very difficult to make a comparison because his memory of Ho Chi Minh City is 20 years ago.
I remember Ho Chi Minh City as a very vibrant city. At that time, I felt time passed very quickly and vehicles were always bustling, even from inside the hotel you could still hear the sound of cars on the street," he recounted.
Meanwhile, Hanoi brings him a more peaceful feeling. He especially loves architectural works and spaces imbued with the historical imprint of the Capital.
I find Hanoi very peaceful and has many beautiful architectural works. Because memories of Ho Chi Minh City are too long gone, I look forward to returning to see how the city has changed after 20 years," Mr. Ron shared.
