Traveling across Vietnam to live every moment
The cross-Vietnam journey by road is becoming a favorite choice for many young Vietnamese people in the summer of 2026, not only for tourism but also to explore yourself and fully experience the S-shaped land.
Xuyen Viet is understood as a journey of travel and exploration stretching across the entire geographical length from North to South of Vietnam. This is an experiential trip, conquering famous landmarks, often performed by many means such as motorbikes, cars, or bicycles.
Ms. Nguyen Minh Anh (23 years old, Hanoi) believes that traveling across Vietnam is not simply moving from North to South but also an opportunity to explore diverse landscapes, regional cultures and unforgettable experiences on each route.
Traveling across Vietnam is not just tourism, but a journey to slow down, to feel more clearly each place you go through. Each stopover brings very unique stories," Ms. Minh Anh said.
Sharing the same inspiration, Mr. Tran Duc Huy (25 years old) said that the increasingly complete expressway system makes the journey more convenient.
Before, I thought crossing Vietnam was very difficult, but now it's much easier to travel. Just need to plan carefully to be able to do it," said Mr. Duc Huy.
Many young people see this as a trip of youth, where they can challenge themselves, expand their experiences and preserve memorable memories during the most free time of their lives.
Outstanding summer 2026 experiential travel trends
Ms. Le Thuy Nhung - Deputy Director of the Northern Retail Center, Vietravel - commented: "From a market perspective, summer 2026 is expected to continue to be a period of positive growth for tourism, both in domestic and international demand.
According to Ms. Nhung, the basis for this assessment comes from the fact that Vietnam's tourism industry recorded a fairly good growth momentum right from the first quarter of 2026. From the latest data released by the Statistics Office, nearly 2.1 million international visitors to Vietnam in March, an increase of 1.3% compared to the same period last year. In the first quarter, the total number of visitors is estimated at 6.76 million, an increase of more than 12% compared to the same period in 2025 and is the highest level of the first quarter of previous years.
''Besides, the demand for air travel during the first holidays of the year remains stable, showing that tourism consumption sentiment continues to be positive,'' Ms. Nhung assessed.

Notably, the summer travel trend this year is forecast to shift towards flexibility, diversity of experiences instead of focusing on a fixed type. Tourists are not only interested in destinations but also focus on experiences, convenience and overall value of the journey.
In that picture, cross-Vietnam journeys by road are returning strongly. The North-South expressway system is gradually being completed, helping to shorten travel time and create favorable conditions for tourists to explore throughout the country," Ms. Nhung emphasized.
According to travel experts, crossing Vietnam is no longer simply a long-day trip but is becoming a deep experiential journey, suitable for tourists who want to fully explore the beauty of nature, culture and cuisine of Vietnam.
