From early morning, crowds flocked to the festival area to participate in traditional rituals, expressing gratitude to "Mother of the Land" - the god respected by local people. The festival space is imbued with the unique spiritual and cultural colors of the Thu Bon riverside region.

The rituals of praying for national peace and prosperity, favorable weather attract a large number of people to participate.
The highlight of the ceremony is the great ritual. The water serving the great ceremony is carried from the upstream, showing the sacred connection between the origin and the present. Offerings include sacrificial buffaloes, white sticky rice and many traditional Quang cakes.
After the ceremony part, there are incense offering and completion rituals taking place in a solemn atmosphere. People express gratitude, sending wishes for a peaceful life and favorable harvests.
The festival part is vibrant with many activities. Prominent is the traditional boat race on the Thu Bon River, attracting a large number of viewers cheering. Besides, there are folk cultural activities such as Bai Choi singing, Tuong singing, housework competition and introduction of local cuisine.
Previously, the festival opened with an art program and unique cultural performances. The festival takes place in 3 days, harmoniously combining the ceremonial part and the festival part.
Ba Thu Bon Festival is a national intangible cultural heritage. This is an opportunity to preserve and spread traditional cultural values, while contributing to the development of community tourism.
