Lunar New Year Binh Ngo 2026 tourism activities are taking place vibrantly in major centers such as Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Da Nang, Hue... and the bustling atmosphere spreads to many localities across the country.
According to the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism, the country's tourism industry welcomed and served about 14 million visitors in 9 days of the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year holiday 2026, an increase of 12% compared to the same period in 2025.
Some key localities lead in tourism revenue and visitor volume.
In Ho Chi Minh City, the total number of visitors is estimated at 4.32 million, an increase of 35%; total revenue from tourists reached about 12,150 billion VND, an increase of 42.9%. Average room occupancy rate reached 75%. River tourism products, city tours by double-decker bus, experiencing traditional Tet space attract a large number of tourists.
Ninh Binh welcomed more than 1.85 million visitors (7 days), including over 300,000 international visitors.

An Giang welcomed 1.7 million visitors, total revenue of 2,622 billion VND, an increase of nearly 40%. Lam Dong welcomed about 911,000 visitors, room occupancy reached 75-80%. Quang Ninh welcomed nearly 800,000 visitors in 7 days.
Hanoi is estimated to welcome 1.34 million visitors, an increase of 36.3%; total revenue reached 4,870 billion VND, an increase of 40.2%. Room occupancy rate in 4-5 star hotels reached over 72%. The "Happy Tet 2026" series of activities, the Old Quarter Spring Flower Market, traditional Tet space display and early spring festivals have created great attraction.
Da Nang welcomed about 1.1 million visitors, an increase of 27%; total revenue reached 3,960 billion VND. The city organized a series of activities "Traditional Tet Space", Tet fairs, art performances and New Year's welcoming events.
The average room occupancy rate at accommodation establishments is about 55-60%, of which many destinations achieve very high room occupancy rates such as Phu Quoc about 95%, Sa Pa 90-95%, Da Lat and Phan Thiet 80-90%.

The number of international visitors increased sharply in many key localities. Da Nang is estimated to welcome 510,000 international visitors, an increase of 32%; Hue welcomed about 238,200 international visitors, an increase of up to 207%; Hanoi welcomed 217,000 international visitors, an increase of 55%; Ho Chi Minh City welcomed about 170,000 international visitors, an increase of 51.7%.
According to the assessment of the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism, the 9-day Lunar New Year holiday of Binh Ngo 2026 is a favorable condition for people to plan to travel and is an opportunity for travel agencies, hotels, food establishments, transportation units... to start a vibrant year of tourism service business.
Preparation for welcoming and serving tourists has been deployed early and promptly from the Central to local levels. Localities and businesses have proactively renewed tourism products, organized diverse cultural and entertainment activities to attract tourists.
