On February 20th (ie, the 4th day of Tet), the weather in Sa Pa ward (Lao Cai) ranged from 11 to 15 degrees Celsius.
From early morning, the Fansipan cable car station area was bustling with people queuing. Many families and groups of young people in bright costumes, holding national flags, eagerly waiting for the journey to conquer the highest mountain in Indochina.
The atmosphere is bustling with laughter and talking, the sound of cameras pressing continuously when everyone wants to capture the moment of the beginning of the year standing in the sea of floating clouds.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hung (a tourist from Hanoi) shared: "I have been to Sa Pa many times, but the first time I went to Fansipan was right on Tet. Standing on the top of a high mountain, looking down at the white sea of clouds, it feels very proud and sacred. This is truly a memorable experience in the first days of the new year".
Many tourists from the Central and Southern provinces also take advantage of the Tet holiday to come to Sa Pa. For them, the journey to conquer Fansipan is not just a trip but also a meaningful way to start the new year.
Ms. Tran Thi My Linh - a tourist from Ho Chi Minh City - said: "My family flew to Hanoi and then took a train to Lao Cai, then moved to Sa Pa. Although the road was far, when we set foot on the top of Fansipan, all fatigue disappeared. The fresh air and majestic scenery moved us very much.

For many young people, conquering the "roof of Indochina" in the early days of spring has a special meaning - like a wish for a strong new year, overcoming all challenges.
Friend Le Minh Tuan (tourist from Hai Phong) said: "At the beginning of the year, climbing Fansipan is like setting a goal to conquer new peaks in life. Standing on the mountain peak, I feel more motivation for a year of working and studying well.

Many tourists could not hide their surprise when admiring the floating white sea of clouds and the characteristic chilly atmosphere of Sa Pa at the beginning of spring.
