On September 4, the international cruise ship STAR VOYAGER from Singapore port docked at Cam Ranh International Port, bringing nearly 1,200 international tourists to visit.
The ship stayed in Khanh Hoa from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM on the same day before continuing its journey to Singapore.
Immediately after docking, tourists participate in sightseeing and experiential programs at many famous destinations in Khanh Hoa.
According to the program, visitors will visit Ba Ponagar Tower, Hon Chong, Dam Market; experience Truong Son craft village and use mud bathing services at I-Resort.
Previously, on June 9, the STAR VOYAGER ship also docked at Cam Ranh International Port, bringing about 1,300 international tourists to visit Khanh Hoa.
From the beginning of 2026 to now, the province has welcomed 38 international cruise ships, with more than 60,463 tourist arrivals ashore to visit.
According to the registration schedule of shipping lines, from now until the end of the year, Khanh Hoa is expected to welcome 24 more international ships.
This is considered a positive sign for the goal of developing cruise tourism, and at the same time contributing to promoting the image of Khanh Hoa destination to the international market.
Not only cruise tourism, tourism activities in the province continue to record strong growth.
During the 5-day National Day holiday of September 2nd, from August 29th to September 2nd, Khanh Hoa is estimated to welcome 1.249 million visitors and resorts, total revenue from tourists reached about 2,100 billion VND. Average room occupancy rate reached about 86%.
In the total number of visitors during the holiday, overnight visitors are estimated at 357,000, including 96,000 international visitors and 261,000 domestic visitors; visitors reached about 892,000.
At coastal resorts Bai Dai, Doc Let, Vinh Hy, Tran Phu street area and islands, room occupancy rate reached over 90%, many establishments were fully booked.
In general, in 8 months of 2026, Khanh Hoa is estimated to welcome more than 18 million visitors, an increase of nearly 40% compared to the same period in 2025.
In which, international visitors reached more than 6.3 million, an increase of more than 67.9%. Total tourism revenue is estimated at 60,893.1 billion VND, an increase of nearly 19.2% compared to the same period.
In the coming time, Khanh Hoa Tourism industry will continue to complete the dossier requesting recognition of the North Cam Ranh Peninsula Tourist Area as a national tourist area; build a destination identity and brand of culture, sports and tourism of the province.
The province also plans to organize an international conference on cruise tourism development, deploy Khanh Hoa Green Tourism Standards and study models with potential for community tourism development.
With a sharp increase in the number of international visitors and the expansion of sea routes, Khanh Hoa is having more motivation to diversify products, expand markets and improve the competitiveness of destinations.
