This is the first time the port has welcomed Adora Magic City (Panama nationality), and also marks the return of large cruise ships on the sea route to Ha Long after many years.
Welcoming tourists at the pier were representatives of leaders of Quang Ninh province, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, functional agencies, representatives of shipping lines and leaders of Ha Long International Passenger Port.
The Adora Magic City super cruise ship is 323.6 m long, 37.2 m wide, total capacity 135,500 GT, maximum capacity 5,246 passengers with 2,125 rooms.
The ship consists of 16 floors, about 40,000 m2 of public space, integrated with restaurants, shopping areas, performance theaters, water parks and many entertainment facilities.
After docking, passengers on Adora Magic City will explore many famous scenic spots and attractions of Quang Ninh, while combining culinary experiences and shopping for local specialties.

Before Adora Magic City, Ha Long International Passenger Port once welcomed large capacity cruise ships such as World Dream with 4,204 passengers in 2018 and Costa Venezia with 4,982 passengers in 2019.
After many years of interruption, the appearance of Adora Magic City continues to open up expectations for the return of large cruise ships on the sea route to Ha Long Bay.
The event takes place in the context of seafood exploitation activities at Ha Long International Passenger Port being growing positively. In the first 7 months of 2026, the port welcomed 45 ships, equivalent to 122% compared to the same period in 2025. From now until the end of 2026, the port is expected to welcome about 30 more ships, bringing the total number of ships in the year to about 75.
The number of international ships to Ha Long is trending upwards, creating more opportunities for tourism businesses to proactively build products and services suitable for cruise tourists and improve the ability to exploit the source of international tourists arriving by sea.
Representatives of the Quang Ninh Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism said that the fact that large-scale international cruise ships choose Ha Long in their route shows the attractiveness of the destination and the potential for cruise tourism development. The province continues to coordinate with shipping lines, travel businesses and related units to diversify products, improve service quality and increase the experience for international visitors.
Ha Long International Passenger Port is a specialized passenger port in the Bai Chay area, directly connected to the destination system of Quang Ninh. The port owns an international wharf about 470 m long, capable of receiving large passenger ships with a total capacity of up to 22.5 million GT, along with a terminal and infrastructure system serving international passengers.
