Implementing the policy of promoting digital transformation, building digital government, digital society and developing smart tourism, Cat Hai Special Zone People's Committee has completed the installation and put into operation 58 free wifi hotspots in public areas such as wharves, squares, parks and some public administrative service locations.
Putting the system into operation contributes to meeting the needs of Internet connection, information lookup, and use of digital services of people and tourists; and at the same time creates favorable conditions for accessing digital utilities, improving the experience during sightseeing, tourism and accommodation in Cat Hai special zone.
This is also a practical solution to concretize the digital transformation program of the Cat Hai special zone, gradually completing digital infrastructure, creating a foundation to promote the development of digital government, digital economy and digital society.
Through the public wifi system, people and tourists can easily scan QR codes to look up information about attractions, tourism services, accommodation establishments, restaurants, transportation, train schedules, regulations for sightseeing activities in Lan Ha Bay, and update weather information, safety recommendations and necessary instructions during stay and sightseeing in the area.
