Faced with traffic congestion, affecting safety and local tourism image, the Chairman of the Special Zone People's Committee requested agencies and units to synchronously implement solutions, focusing on reorganizing traffic on Cat Tien road.
Right from the early morning of April 30 - the first day of deploying the traffic lane separation plan, the special zone police force was present on Cat Tien road (road to Cat Co beach 1, 2) to organize traffic diversion, regulation and guidance for vehicles.
According to the traffic organization plan, cars drop off passengers at the foot of Cat Co 1, 2 slope, then move to the prescribed location, not going deep into the beach area. For motorbikes, functional forces arrange to guide people to park at appropriate points, ensuring order and not encroaching on roads and sidewalks.
Participating in performing the task are grassroots security forces, coordinating to support traffic diversion, propaganda, and reminding people and tourists to comply with regulations. Thanks to the synchronous involvement of forces, the traffic situation on the first day was basically controlled, without prolonged congestion.
According to the People's Committee of Cat Hai Special Zone, functional forces do not allow motorbikes, motorcycles, cars and tourist electric vehicles to operate on Cat Tien road from 5:30 am to 6:30 pm daily (from April 30, 2026 to September 5, 2026), except for cases as prescribed; do not allow vehicles to stop and park in the sidewalk area from Hung Long hotel to Cat Co beach 3. Functional forces also organize traffic diversion, arrange transfer points, add signs and pick-up and drop-off points at the foot of Cat Co 1, 2 slopes.
Recorded on the first day of implementation, the majority of people and tourists agreed and well followed the instructions of functional forces. The organization of traffic lane separation has contributed to ensuring order, safety, smooth traffic, creating an image of civilized and friendly Cat Ba in the 2026 summer tourist season.
