According to customs, on the 9th of the 9th lunar month every year, the Tay Khao people in Dong Cuong commune organize the New Rice Festival at the sacred temple worshiping Mother De Nhi Thuong Ngan and the national heroes of the Tran Dynasty who fought against the Chinese Mong army.
The festival is an occasion to offer the Mother, the Jade Emperor and the deities the first products of the season, expressing gratitude to heaven and earth, the gods and ancestors for giving us a good crop, a prosperous and happy life. At the same time, I pray for a year of favorable weather, national peace, and a bumper crop.
