The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lao Cai province has just sent a document to the Provincial Tourism Association, People's Committees of communes, wards, departments, affiliated units, tourist areas, destinations, travel businesses, and accommodation establishments to continue focusing on responding to and overcoming the consequences of storm No. 10 (Bualoi) and post-storm floods in the tourism sector.
Accordingly, to ensure the safety of tourists and tourism infrastructure, the Department recommends that relevant units strictly implement instructions from the Central and the province on responding to storms No. 9, No. 10 and floods after storms.

The People's Committees of communes and wards regularly update storm developments, direct timely handling and immediately report incidents arising in tourism activities to the Department for coordination in resolution.
Lao Cai Tourism Association proactively supports and informs tourists in a timely manner; temporarily suspends or adjusts tours and travel schedules in dangerous areas; at the same time, promotes the spirit of solidarity and shares difficulties with tourists in many practical forms such as reducing accommodation rates, meals, bus tickets, etc. to build a safe and friendly image of Lao Cai tourism.
Tourist areas, destinations, and tourism service businesses should carefully review and compile statistics on the number of visitors, groups, and tour guides in high-risk areas, maintain regular contact to respond promptly, and temporarily suspend organizing tours and routes to affected areas until safety announcement is issued.

At the same time, proactively reinforce, tie up works, and cut off power in dangerous areas; fully prepare generators, clean water, and food to respond to all situations.
The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism recommends that localities, tourism units and businesses in the province seriously coordinate to implement to minimize risks and ensure safety for tourists and the community.
