The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) has recently issued a 24-hour weather forecast, warning of unstable weather conditions across the country.
According to PAGASA, a low-pressure area has been detected approximately 615 km northeast of Itbayat Island, Batanes Province (northernmost Philippines) at 15:00 local time on August 6.
At the same time, the southwest monsoon is affecting the central and southern parts of Luzon, as well as the Visayas Islands, resulting in scattered rain showers and thunderstorms across the area.
PAGASA warns local residents and tourists to be prepared for the risk of flash floods or landslides due to heavy to intense rainfall.
The remaining areas across the country will experience weather conditions ranging from partly cloudy to overcast, accompanied by scattered rain showers and thunderstorms.

Regarding wind and sea conditions, the northern part of Luzon will experience light to moderate winds from the west to southwest, with wave heights ranging from light to moderate, at 0.6 to 2.1 meters.
Other areas will experience light to moderate winds from the south to southwest, with similar wave conditions.
In light of the above situation, tourists planning to visit the Philippines and surrounding areas during this time should regularly check the latest weather updates from reputable sources.
Consider adjusting outdoor plans, especially in areas forecasted to experience heavy rain and thunderstorms.
Prepare suitable attire, bring an umbrella, an umbrella, and anti-slip shoes to cope with the wet weather. When traveling, exercise caution, be prepared for slippery roads and reduced visibility when driving or walking in the rain.
Store emergency contact numbers and know the location of safe shelters in the area where you are staying.
PAGASA emphasizes the importance of following safety guidelines and advises everyone, particularly tourists, to exercise extreme caution in this unfavorable weather condition. By maintaining vigilance and being well-prepared, tourists can still enjoy their trip safely.
