On September 2, the weather was sunny, so tourist service spots and beaches in the province were quite crowded and bustling with tourists coming to have fun and experience.
Through a survey in Vung Tau City , the place that welcomes the most tourists in the whole province, many tourists commented that the beach is clean and beautiful, service prices are reasonable and publicly listed.
Ms. Mai Thi Hoai Thuong (a tourist from Ho Chi Minh City) said that the Back Beach area in Vung Tau City is very clean and beautiful despite the large number of visitors coming to enjoy the beach. Some visitors were reminded to throw their trash in designated areas and maintain public hygiene.
"I rented a room for 3 people in the front area of Bai Sau Beach, for only 1.1 million VND. I think this is a reasonable price, affordable during the holidays," said Ms. Thuong.
Vung Tau seafood market area was also bustling with shoppers on the morning of September 2. According to records, due to the large number of customers and high demand, some seafood prices increased slightly within a range of about 10%.
"I find the seafood prices here reasonable. We are looking to buy some seafood to bring home and cook for lunch at our apartment," said Mr. Trung, a tourist.
According to the Department of Tourism, the service business situation in the area has strictly complied with regulations on registration, price posting and selling at the correct listed price. Service prices are generally stable, suitable and ensure adequate quality.
In Vung Tau City, authorities have continuously strengthened control over service prices and business situations in the area, and have not recorded any violations or complaints from the people.
"The 814 joint inspection team has been operating continuously, and the Vung Tau City hotline is also on duty 24/7, but no violations have been recorded. At the same time, security, order and traffic safety are guaranteed," said Mr. Phan Trong Hanh - Head of the Department of Culture and Information of Vung Tau City.
According to tourism statistics, in the first two days of the September 2nd holiday, the whole province welcomed more than 266,000 visitors, earning more than 165 billion VND in revenue. Of which, Vung Tau City welcomed more than 128,000 visitors, earning more than 58 billion VND in revenue.
On September 1 alone, the whole province welcomed about 173,357 visitors, reaching 95.72% over the same period in 2023; however, revenue reached about 100.8 billion VND, an increase of 11.84% over the same period in 2023.
Xuyen Moc District: Number of tourists decreased but tourism spending increased
According to Mr. Le Anh Van - Director of the Management Board of Tourist Areas of Xuyen Moc District, although the total number of visitors to Xuyen Moc has decreased sharply, up to 30%, the number of visitors staying has increased, especially the number of visitors staying for more than 2 days.
According to statistics, on September 1, the room occupancy rate of the entire Ho Tram - Ho Coc area reached about 80%, an increase of 32.56% over the same period. Tourism revenue reached 23.5 billion VND, an increase of more than 23% over the same period.
