During the first two days of the holiday, the weather was only stable in the morning, while in the afternoon and evening it often rained and was windy, affecting the lives of people and tourists.
However, EDM music events held in the Back Beach area still attract a large number of locals and tourists.
According to statistics, despite heavy rain on the evening of August 31, the EDM event "Tuborg Open your music" attracted more than 40,000 participants.
On the evening of September 1, the event "Tiger Crystal Rave 3.0 - Endless Ice Party" started playing music from around 6pm. Although it was raining at the time, many people and tourists gathered at the beach to participate in the event.
According to the Vung Tau City Tourist Management and Support Center, on September 1, about 85,000 tourists came to Vung Tau to enjoy the beach (reaching 96.6% compared to the same period last year). Over the past 2 days, the locality has welcomed more than 128,000 tourists, security and safety work has been well implemented, no unfortunate incidents have occurred.
Thunderstorms cause trees to fall on houses and cars
At around 4:00 p.m. on September 1, a large thunderstorm in Vung Tau City caused several trees on the roads to break and fall, crushing several houses and cars parked on the road.
A black star tree in front of house number 83 Nguyen Van Troi (Ward 4, Vung Tau City) about 10m high, had 2 large branches broken. One branch fell on a resident's house, and the other branch fell onto the road, hitting a mother and child who were traveling, fortunately only minor injuries occurred.
At the same time, a 7-8m tall Osaka tree was also uprooted and fell on a 4-seat car parked on the sidewalk of Ngo Quyen Street (Vung Tau City).
